TRUST IS A SPIRITUAL ATTITUDE

December 1, 2023

In the realm of spiritual exploration, trust emerges as a profound attitude, transcending the ordinary connotations of spirits or elevated vibrations. It is a journey into the self, so let's delve into the depths of trust as a spiritual attitude.

Trust, in its essence, is a deep surrender to the present moment—an acknowledgment that we are always susceptible to the unfolding of events. It is a willingness to be open, a deliberate act that goes beyond mere letting go. This spiritual attitude invites us to be vulnerable, acknowledging the great human discontent that stems from the inability to personally control outcomes.

The term "spiritual" here sheds its commonly associated mystical imagery. Instead, it points towards the "self," the consciousness that transcends our immediate experiences. Trust, then, becomes a proclamation that we are not confined to the limits of our physical bodies, emotions, lifestyles, or meticulously constructed relationships and careers. It serves as a doorway to our higher self—a connection to the background of stillness that underlies all.

Bringing trust into our lives is akin to embracing the spontaneity of the moment. It is an opening to the universal energy of abundance, to Lakshmi, Hindu Goddess, and to the profound background of love. When trust becomes an integral part of our relationships, it extends an invitation for others to join us in this realm of spontaneity, openness, and abundance—the spiritual heart.

However, acknowledging trust as a spiritual attitude is no simple feat. It challenges our individual limitations, pushing us to confront the unlimited nature of this profound concept. Yet, it is in this challenge that the beauty of trust unfolds—it serves both as the means and the end. Inviting this transformative energy into our meditation practices and weaving it into the fabric of our lives and relationships is an act of courage and faith.

It's crucial to remember that trust is not a guarantee for specific outcomes. Instead, it is an invitation to move beyond the fixation on results. The very essence of trust lies in its uncertainty, in its ability to transcend the need for assurance. After all, it wouldn't be called trust if the results were guaranteed.
