HANDSTAND COURSE WITH ARI

March 21, 2023

What’s holding back your handstand? Are you ready to achieve your goals?

We recently sat down with Ari and asked what you can expect from his upcoming handstand course.

Who is the course for?

Ari: The course is for any students who want to turn their handstand goals into reality. I recommend people be able to hold plank, down dog, side planks and crow before attempting handstands. We will also do loads of strength training drills, core work, wrist and shoulder mobility work and warm ups to prepare you for your journey. Just come with a willingness to have fun. You will get more comfortable with being upside down but you must be able to bear your weight on your hands! With correct alignment and technique we can make it possible.

Is it better suited to people beginning their handstand journey or is it more for advanced practitioners?

Ari: Both would benefit from the training. Beginners would need to make sure they can do the above postures before attempting handstands.

Tell us a bit about why you are so passionate about teaching handstands & arm balances.

Ari: To be honest, I’ve always loved handstands and gymnastic work. I used to do handstands on the front lawn with the neighbours as a kid. We would always have competitions to see who could hold it the longest and I would usually win. Haha, I just like being upside down! Then it progressed to walking on my hands in a handstand, then doing back flips on the front lawn, driving my dad mad by digging my heels into his immaculate lawns. But don't worry, we won't be doing backflips.

Are people able to attend just 1 or 2 sessions or do they have to commit to all 4?

Ari: Because the handstand is a project, this course has been designed for you to go through it stage by stage, but if you can’t make all 4 sessions you can purchase them individually and turn up to the sessions you can make. Some is definitely better than none! To make the most out of it, book all 4.

You will:

  • Build confidence in your capabilities

  • Understand correct handstand alignment

  • Strengthen your wrists, arms, shoulders, core and more

  • Improve your mobility and flexibility, confidence and focus

  • All while having fun and connecting with community
