Sarah Andrijcich

What was your inspiration for becoming a yoga teacher?

The practice was a catapult in what completely shifted my experience of life in slowing down, in deeper contentment and an ever expansion of awareness, gratitude and presence. it became a place for me to intuitively create, and that was something i wanted to share and to gift my students - the space to shift from thought to feeling.

Your favourite yoga pose if you have one?

I love Trikonasana. There is so much involved in this shape; when done correctly, it feels so expansive. I love the many Skandasana variations and play with them regularly in my classes.  I am also obsessed with sequencing transitions; how we get from one place to the next in the practice with more effortlessness and grace.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

Creating: the sequences, the community, the space.

About sarah:

Sarah's yoga teaching is informed by the discipline of ballet and the freedom of contemporary dance. Creatively intuitive, she gifts her students with the space to shift from thought to feeling. Inspired by nature and the process of spiritual exploration, her classes are slow and strong, rhythmic and fluid, woven with the threads from her teachers, which include Maty Ezraty, Simon Park, Noelle Connolly, Rod Stryker, and Meghan Currie.

While grounded in structure, Sarah infuses her teaching with a wide-open flow and surprising sequencing that allows for a release from expectation and trust in the possibilities of the unknown.

She has assisted her teacher Simon Park on various trainings in Europe and Australia including his 300HR Training in the French Alps. Sarah is a yoga teacher and photographer.
