Meet olivia duncan: Yoga Teacher at This Is Yoga

What was your inspiration for becoming a yoga teacher?

I LOVE the inner & outer healing yoga graciously offers. Ancient healing traditions like Ayurveda (Yoga included), Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tibetan Medicine, & Indigenous herbal practices all over the world are my deepest passions. Most of these traditions believe that disease starts in the energetic body— suppressed emotions & self limiting thoughts , etc.— and then manifest as physical illnesses/chronic disease. Yoga helps to release these energetic blockages and align the self with a higher pathway preventing chronic diseases from their root source.

Your favourite yoga pose if you have one?

Namaskar— I’m always amazed with the instant grounding and connection to the Divine I feel as soon as the hands connect in front of the heart.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

The connection, the community, and the opportunity to share ancient practices.

HOW CAN WE FIND YOU ON SOCIAL?
