LINDE VAN DE BURG

What was your inspiration for becoming a yoga teacher?

I worked as a gym instructor for years and loved working with the physical body but missed depth. I was also well aware that I had been pushing everything in life way too hard, I felt exhausted. Yoga taught me to become aware and truly listen to my mind and body, which changed my life! I wanted to spread that magic by becoming a yoga teacher.

Your favourite yoga pose if you have one?

In vinyasa I love transitioning from one pose into another. In Yin my favourite pose is reclined butterfly; it feels grounding and expanding at the same time.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

First of all, being really present with people; no phones, no distractions. And then seeing people drop into their bodies while they make mindful choices and watching them transform into a more mindful and relaxed version of themselves.

About linde:

My love for movement starting as a little girl, I did ballet through my childhood and teen years. In the last decade my passion for movement has evolved into instructing a range of different classes, from outdoor bootcamp to reformer and spinning. My curiosity about the human existence has led me on a journey to become a yoga-teacher, a sound-meditation facilitator and psychotherapist.

In the yoga studio I can weave together all my passions, guiding people to connect with their body and mind. Through creative vinyasa flows, I encourage people to not only strengthen and stretch their body, but use this as a gateway to explore their inner selves. In yin classes I aim to facilitate a safe and nurturing space for people to explore the depths of their whole being while deeply resting and restoring. I often combine yin with sound meditation to create the time and space for people to restore on a deeper level.
