What was your inspiration for becoming a yoga teacher?

It's in retrospect that I realise that I have always been a teacher. I would teach my neighbourhood friends how to do gymnastics, handstands, and martial arts while I was learning them. Somehow I must have known that to really understand something it’s great to teach it to someone else!

I have always been a mover, from early childhood gymnastics and martial arts to a circus acrobatic career that took me all over the world. Yoga is something that has continually developed in me from the age of almost 17 and is still ever evolving. The fact that I am still learning over 30 years later is a testament to its depth.

Your favourite yoga pose if you have one?

The postures all bring a type of attitude with them, so it depends on what feeling or lesson I need in the moment.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

The connection with students from all over the world. All different backgrounds, careers, ages, shapes, sizes, colours and everything. The diversity that students bring but also the equality that we share in the room. We are all evolving together as a community.

How can we find you on social?
