We live in a "Yang" world. We are addicted to speed, stimulation, and sweat. Even in yoga, we often chase the "burn."

But here is the truth: You cannot heal a burnt-out nervous system by working harder.

  • Teachers: Do you struggle to fill the silence in your classes? Do you worry your sequencing is repetitive?

  • Practitioners: Do you leave class feeling good, only to have the anxiety creep back in an hour later?

If you are only focusing on the muscles, you are missing 50% of the body. To find true balance, you need to understand the Yin.

WHY Your Practice Feels Incomplete

This training is for you if:

You are a yoga teacher

Wanting to add a new modality to your teaching schedule and increase your employability.

You a dedicated student

Who loves Yin and wants to understand why it makes you feel so good.

You are looking for a retreat experience

5 days of learning, connection, and rest by the ocean.

A Deep Dive into Stillness (50-Hour Certified Module)

This is not just a "relaxation" course. It is a rigorous, academic, and soulful exploration of Functional Anatomy and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Led by Ari (TIY Head of Training) and Morgane (Yin Specialist), this course bridges the gap between ancient wisdom and modern science.

What makes this training different? Unlike large, impersonal online courses, this is an intimate, in-person immersion at our Clovelly Training Studio. You will learn hands-on adjustments, receive real-time feedback, and connect with a community that actually knows your name.

what you’ll learn

Whether you crave a deep, fast-tracked immersion or a spacious journey that fits around your work week, we have a format to suit your rhythm. Both pathways lead to the same globally recognised RYS 200 certification.

The Science of the Body

  • The "Plastic" Tissues: Learn why dynamic yoga targets muscle, but Yin targets fascia, ligaments, and joints.

  • Skeletal Variation: Understand why no two bodies look the same in Dragon Pose—and how to modify for every skeleton.

  • Nervous System Regulation: The biological mechanics of switching from "Fight or Flight" to "Rest and Digest."

The Wisdom of the Energy

  • Meridian Mapping: Stop guessing. Learn exactly where the energy lines (Qi) flow and how to stimulate them.

  • The 5 Elements: Deep dive into Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal. Learn to diagnose which element is out of balance in yourself and your students.

  • Organs & Emotions: Understand the link between the Kidneys and fear, or the Liver and anger, and how to sequence for emotional release.

The Art of Teaching

  • Sequencing Logic: How to build a class that flows intelligently (e.g., a "Springtime Detox" sequence vs. a "Winter Hibernation" sequence).

  • The Voice: How to use tone, silence, and cues to induce a meditative state.

  • Holding Space: Techniques to support students when deep emotions arise during long holds.

  • Sat 1 Mar – Sun 2 Mar: 8:45am – 5:15pm

MEET MORGANE

Morgane is excited and grateful to be sharing the love of yoga. She discovered yoga 15 years ago, as part of various physical development techniques in her acting career and training. Over time, her daily personal practice became non-negotiable. She saw first-hand how the practice expanded beyond the physical. Naturally, she became a yoga teacher!

Morgane trained under Arian Levanael, Elisha Young, Mel Mclaughlin, Rachael Coopes, amongst others. She qualified in Vinyasa, Yin , MFR and Kids yoga and is also sharing the practice of mantra and Bhakti Yoga as a door to stillness under the mentoring of Nadav Khan.

Morgane loves teaching both the yin and yang practice for a complete experience. She believes this is crucial for developing a sense of equanimity for the body, mind and soul off the mat. Her classes are fun, engaging, at times challenging and sprinkled with philosophical contemplations, singing, and hands on assists.
