A PRACTICE THAT NEVER REPEATS ITSELF
Yahel Gidon is teaching a two-hour Rocket III masterclass at Randwick on Sunday 20 September. Rocket III is the most creative sequence in the system, weaving elements of Rocket I and II into one practice, so no two classes look the same.
Rocket Yoga was created by Larry Schultz, a long-time student of Pattabhi Jois, as a more accessible and playful evolution of Ashtanga. You will start with the foundations and the thinking behind it, then spend the rest of the two hours working through transitions, inversions, arm balances, backbends, hip opening and mobility drills.
Yahel teaches with a playful and precise hand, and options are offered the whole way through. You do not need to arrive able to do everything. You need to arrive willing to have a go.
