This Is Yoga offers classes In Vinyasa Flow, & Yin Yoga

VINYASA FLOW

Your 'go-to' daily dose of heated power vinyasa flow. This is the class for when you want to be challenged physically and mentally and get your sweat on. You’ll be sure to see a dramatic change in your body and mind. In class, we use infrared heater bars set up to 30 degrees, which will turn up the heat of your practice in more ways than one as our teachers guide you through an intelligently sequenced class for 60 or 75 min.

You can expect to detoxify your body and increase muscle tone and flexibility, whilst having an experience of concentrating the mind, cultivating self-awareness and stepping away from your everyday stresses. This will have you feeling lighter and clearer at the end of class. Peppered with philosophy from classic Yoga to the modern, this is our open class.

FOUNDATIONS

For our newer friends and regulars wanting to go back to the basics of alignment, this class is for you!

Set between 25-28 degrees, you’ll find a slower and cooler pace which is great if you are wanting to brush up on your foundations or you are just starting out on your Yoga journey.

You will be guided through the foundations of a vinyasa flow practise including physical alignment, core stability, breathwork and how to bring your mind, body and breath into the present moment.

A strong practice nonetheless, we recommend this if this is your first time.

YIN YOGA

The softer & more nourishing side of Yoga. As a supplement to yang classes (vinyasa), in Yin Yoga, we explore beyond our muscles and into our connective tissues such as our fascia, tendons, ligaments and bones. This Yin Yoga practise is often taught with an inquiring look into TCM muscle meridian theory and chakras. It is in the stillness of the poses in Yin Yoga, where you get the opportunity to experience a quiet & soothing yoga practice, balancing you physically, mentally and emotionally.

Unheated in the warmer months and some heat in the colder months, this is a soothing and calming class. We encourage the use of props for extra support and to also help you go deeper into each pose.

SLOW FLOW YOGA

A Vinyasa class which is taught with longer holds, this class is great after a long work week and when you want to reset. The sequences are designed to help you strengthen and stretch your muscles, relaxing your body and calming your mind. It’s all about taking a gentle, mindful approach, taking your time and really sinking into each posture with your breath. There is enough movement to get the day out of your system and enough chilling out to prepare you for a productive week. Slow down and rejuvenate your body.
