Contentment.  Clarity.  Peace

Meditation and Yoga Workshop Series with Michael King.

Sattva, which means light, represents the true nature of the mind. According to the old yogis, when the mind is in a truly Sattvic state we can begin to realise the contentment, the clarity and the peace that’s at the core of who we really are.

Really, the entire path of yoga is designed to be a journey towards clarity, light, and self knowledge aka, Sattva.

Sattva is one of the 3 Gunas of yoga, or the 3 fundamental principles of nature. The other 2 being Tamas (matter/darkness) and Rajas (action/energy). In this workshop series we will use the full map of yoga to balance these Gunas, or natural forces, within ourselves so we can experience lives filled with real peace and bliss.

  1. To discover how we can use a full-spectrum yoga class (Asana, Pranayama, Bandha, Mudra and Meditation) to bring the inner experience of Sattva alive.

  2. And secondly to use this workshop as preparation for deep and transformative states of meditation, which will lead us perfectly into the next 2 workshop.

According to the old yogis we can expand our minds beyond our wildest dreams, but first, we must concentrate the mind, fully and effectively. Among many other things, a concentrated mind means more energy, more peace and more creative capacity.

In this workshop you will learn,

  • What is the mind according to yoga

  • The science of concentration

  • How we can bring harmony to the totality of the mind in order to make the deeper states of meditation more accessible

  • How to direct your focused mind in towards the things that matter most to you and therefore awakening your creative capacity

Meditation Masterclass

This 2.5 hour workshop will focus specifically on further cementing the inner state of Sattva and use the practice of traditional Vedantic meditation to look at what lies even beyond the Gunas, which according to the tradition, is pure love.

With the body and mind prepared, concentrated, open and receptive we will be able to take the practice of meditation to a whole new level through the vedic science of self-inquiry.

In this masterclass you will learn

  • How to use self inquiry as a transformative meditative tool both on and off the cushion

  • How to light the flame of awareness within and therefore see the whole world as lit up

MICHAEL KING

A Little About michael AND WHOLLY HUMANS

Michael King and his partner Hannah are the owners and creators of Wholly Humans, a "community for integrative yoga and wellbeing". Michael is a hatha yoga teacher who currently teaches between Coffs Harbour and Bali, where he travels to teach asana, meditation and public speaking on the yoga teacher training program at The Practice Bali.

As well as teaching yoga and meditation Michael is an NLP practitioner, is certified in hypnosis and is also a qualified chef. He loves all things to do health and nutrition, especially teaching others to cook and look after themselves. Both Hannah and Michael work one-on-one as life coaches with people from all over the world.  Hannah coaches through the lens of Ayurveda (yoga’s sister science of holistic wellbeing) and Michael coaches through the lens of Hatha Yoga. Together they run courses teaching yoga in its full integral fashion - asana, pranayama, meditation, ethics and Ayurveda.

Michael understands that teaching meditation and yoga can sometimes be intense and deep, which is why he usually brings it across in his trademark manner of playfulness and with jokes that are so bad they're often funny.

"Michael is a natural born teacher, one of the rare few that I've seen. The depth of his capacity to impart profound knowledge is a constant source of awe for me, just as the depth of his humor is a constant source of my joy. When you find a teacher like Michael, that so skillfully weaves together the science of Yoga, his own innate wisdom, relentless authenticity and killer wit, what you have is a recipe for greatness, and believe me, I don't say things like that lightly. Michael is and will continue to be a powerful force in the Yoga world. That I know for sure".

  • Octavio Salvado. Co-owner and primary teacher at The Practice Bali

"I bloody love this guys work - I wish there were a million Michael's in this world making it a better place!! Everyone should 100% go for this program, you will gain so much more than you could ever imagine possible, and the tools and techniques are easy to implement. It is worth many times the price of admission."

THE MAGIC OF MANDALA MOVEMENT

Come and join Ari for a morning of engaging in mindful movement practices. Movement that is circular is both liberating and meditative and designed to help heal body, mind and spirit.

The word Mandala means circle and represents oneness or union. In many spiritual traditions, mandalas appear as concentric diagrams that are used to create sacred space and as a tool for a blissful meditative movement journey.

Awaken your intelligent body in motion and free your mind into stillness.

This workshop is open to all levels.
